Bat Mitzvah Group

The Bat Mitzvah program was created to assist young girls in their transition to adolescence. During one year they participate in a dynamic and practical course that teaches Jewish Values, Traditions and Zionism. This program also deals with the personal and social issues that arouse during the teenage years. A special emphasis is placed on the concepts of Tikun Olam and Tzedakah. Throughout the year the girls participate in the Feed The Homeless program and have a Mitzvah Project on which they work all year long. They raise funds with love and kindness to support and make a difference in a person’s life. The course culminates with a meaningful ceremony that touches the hearts of each one of the participants, their families and the community.

Through the Bat Program the Ken Jewish Community is planting the seeds that will strengthen the future generations.
